My boss introduced this series to me recently and I thought it quite apt to do a post on it since there's been a spate of bunnies springing up lately in this giraffe's life. =)
But before that, a quick update about some happenings in the life of this giraffe. I've been told my long neck has made me quite long-winded, so I shall learn to summarize and give only the main points.
-MY PHONE GOT STOLEN!
-I got Cover to Cover Complete as a really belated birthday present and it's been most edifying reading it.
-I just discovered one of my beloved lecturers actually belongs to a cult group and I am really grieved. I had noticed a change in behavior recently but I didn't dare to talk to my lecturer about it. Sigh.
-The points just get longer and longer huh.
-MY PHONE GOT STOLEN!
-I went online to do a thorough search to get a 2nd hand mobile phone for the 1st time.
-Lately I've been taken aback by how people with good intentions can end up being very misled because I do not discount myself from making the same mistake if I were in their shoes. I am led to err on the side of caution.
-Sometimes that makes me hesitate from sharing about stuff that happens in my life. You almost can't tell who can be trusted. Trusting and loving are indeed risks people choose to take.
-Enjoy the comic strips. Let me just say it's not the sadistic part that I enjoy. It's just the cuteness of the way it is drawn. =)
Wow.. Blogspot's so cool.. They can now allow us to upload videos straight away.. I am just continuing my update on some of the interesting places I've been to lately, and today was one such instance. I followed the recommendation of my sensei, Makiko, and made a suggestion to my cell group members to go to Tea Chapter for the meetup. It's a really nice place! They have authentic tea of the strictest quality control, with the ambience completely catered for tea lovers (the real ones, not the kopi tiam ones.. Sorry Wenzheng!! =P). The tea demonstration was so educational I decided to put it up and share it with the rest of my friends. Hahaha. Do visit Tea Chapter at No. 11 Neil Rd!
Another interesting place I had been to recently is at Rochester Park, a quiant little patisserie tucked in the quiet corner of Singapore called Twelve + One Patisserie. It is totally regrettable that the management made a sudden decision to close down on Christmas Day last year. Perhaps it is because the place was really tucked away so well that it suffered its fate for being inconspicuous to the public eye. This photo log is a tribute to that wonderful place that left wonderful memories short-lived as it was.
Some places in life really need to be cherished as a 'been-there' experience. And so, I wanna unveil my big plans for this year.. Are you ready? *drum roll* This year, I am going to try to experience something I read so much about as a young and impressionable boy. I WANT TO SEE APPLE TREES! Before my very eyes and see for myself why it lent such beautifully descriptive and enchanting language to children's book authors.
Sigh.. To some extent I really miss facebook you know.. Haha.. I would be able to be updated about many many things about many many friends.. =( But then, a choice is a choice, no looking back. So here's a quick update about what's been happening, based on the photos I could get hold of, not owning a camera of my own.
This is Hanoi! We went there for a much anticipated holiday and chanced upon this giraffe!
And this is the other mysterious member of the Vietnam Trio that braved storms, twisted ankles, mud and intrusive train operators with the Twin Towers. Can you guess who it is? =) This is KOTO Cafe in Hanoi, which stands for Know One, Teach One. It is a cafe set up to empower the youths there to make a decent living learning about hospitality and management.
And this is my funny classmate, also known as bunny who has been daydreaming and doodling in class.. *tsk tsk* But she got me this really awesome giraffe inflatable from taiwan! So I should say something nice too.. She's been a great classmate since school started, but then again, so has most of my friends in 14th Intake Group B!
Here's the rest of my wonderful class!
What a yummy looking burger! Where is it from?? PS cafe, at Dempsey Hill! Fruits of a most enjoyable food hunt.. Thanks to recommendation by Feli!
Yawn.. That's all for now, at least until I get everything sorted out. Night~
And voila! The new blog with the same look! Haha.. Maybe I should revert my previous blog back to it's original look to give it more nostalgia hor.. Hmm.. *mulls over the thought*
